This is an original piece of Tibetan art, beautiful Nepali Tibetan necklace made of finest quality Tibetan silver, hand carved and then hand inlaid with Turquoise and Coral mosaics. This gypsy boho style ethnic necklace is hand strung by the very artists who's ancestors pioneered in the creation of this art.

These great Himalayan artists have been living in the harsh mountainous conditions since centuries and many years ago their art was only limited to their own tribe due to lack of physical access to their valley, but after some improvement of road passage, they are now able to share their stunning art with the world, but still with many limitations. In winters, due to heavy snow, physical access to the Himalayan mountains, the origin of this art, is nearly impossible. So these artists spend most of the winter making these beautiful pieces and then in the summers explorers go back to their valley in search of such master pieces. This necklace has reached me through many channels and I feel very proud about this new addition in my collection.

The necklace has a very nice weight to it, authenticating it's genuineness and high quality material. People living in this region are mostly Buddhists, who firmly believe that the stone that they use in their jewelry contains healing powers, blessed by the Buddha. Typically Tibetan Silver is used in their jewelry, which is a mixture of silver and other metals.

Note: These are original photos of the necklace.

Hand chained mashed metal beads Indian bracelet from the Rajasthani Rabari tibal people. These artistic people are desert dwellers, living in such harsh conditions since centuries and creating this art pioneered by their ancestors. This is typical gypsy boho style Rajasthani bracelets worn by bride or newly webs. In their culture, the jewelry must pass on to the next generation, but due to low standards of living, they sometimes sell them for some cash or grocery to make a living. The metal beads chained together are mashed by manually operating machines, a technique they have been using since a very long time.
